1st Class Royal Fathers, Top Celebrities Endorse Yoruba Films & Music Fair



An exposition aimed at hosting legends of Yoruba arts with a view to celebrating the culture, customs and traditional heritage of indigenous artistes has berthed. Tagged Yoruba Films & Music Fair, the festival which is the brain child of Another Creations Communications owned by the amiable Omotayo Ogunlade, the young and dynamic producers of popular Yoruba programmes like Lagbo Osere and Amuludun on Africa Magic and MYTV, the fair, according to him will provide a platform for producers, directors and marketers of Yoruba films and music to showcase their works and review latest developments in the films and music industry.

‘It is high time we thought of raising the standard amongst our arts mafiosos, there’s an urgent need to bring together critical minds in order to scrutinize our cultural efforts as a way of raising the bar to compete more effectively on the global stage”, Omotayo told National Enquirer. Yoruba films and music fair is an exposition meant to celebrate the contributions of Yoruba artistes, both in Nollywood and in the Music circle.

Proudly supported by the Lagos State Television management, the Festival, Yoruba Films & Music Fair which is the brain child of Another Creations Communications holds between July 3rd-7th, 2017 at the BlueRoof Hall, LTV ground, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos. The 5-day exhibition will showcase the essence of richness of the Yoruba culture and heritage in the way they have been presented to the world.

“During the 5-day event, we’ll be looking at inviting music and movie critics to screen and analyse some of the submitted works to be exhibited, then we shall have a workshop to discuss how the industry can be further affected positively and not forgetting the whole essence of the fair, networking for better synergy and future business relationship for the development of the Yoruba movie and music industry”, the unassuming convener of the project informed National Enquirer.

The festival of arts, no doubt promises to be grand as notable Yoruba leaders and legends such as the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, and the Alaafin of Oyo, Iku Baba Yeye, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi are among topflight royal fathers that have endorsed the epoch making show.

Others who have pledged their supports to make the event a resounding success are wave making gospel musician, Yinka Ayefele and the reigning hip hop maestro, Adekunle Gold whilst notables like the nonagenarian artiste, Charles Olumo a.k.a Agbako have also endorsed the maiden edition of the festival.
